PayCourt/CCP (Credit Collection Partners) is an Illinois agency that collects court fines and fees for county governments under the PayCourt brand, along with healthcare, utility and other receivables under CCP. When CCP acquired a smaller agency, its client base grew, and so did the reporting workload. Instead of hiring to keep up, PayCourt/CCP automated client reporting in InterProse ACE using scheduled reports, automated triggers, SFTP file sharing, self-service portals and RAINMAKER AI. Within 30 days, its client relations manager went from spending about 80% of the day on reports to about 20%.

A familiar ceiling

In January 2026, CCP acquired CCB Credit Services, a smaller Springfield, Illinois agency running on a legacy system built on AS400 infrastructure. The acquisition brought new clients and accounts, along with four of the agency's people, including a client relations manager whose day was already full. About 80% of that time went to manual client work: pulling client files, loading direct payment files, and building placement acknowledgements, payment reports, close reports and reconciliations by hand.

"About 80% of her day went to client relations work: working with clients, building reports, processing files."

— Rick Bonitzer, President and CEO, PayCourt/CCP

CEO Rick Bonitzer gave the team 30 days to convert the new accounts to ACE. "We went from crawl to sprint," he said. The new clients came with their own placement formats, file layouts and custom reports, and every one of them added work to a day that had no room left.

Every growing agency hits the same wall: clients come in faster than you can hire staff to support. The reports pile up first, then someone gets hired to keep up with them. Rick measures the business by revenue per employee, so a new hire to build reports was the last thing he wanted.

Could PayCourt/CCP take on new clients without hiring to service them?

It could, once the new accounts were on ACE. PayCourt/CCP's clients range from county courts to hospitals and utilities, and each one has its own placement files, payment reports and reconciliations. With a lean team, every report built by hand took time from recovery work. Once those reports ran on a schedule, each new client added accounts to work instead of hours of reporting.

Raising the ceiling

PayCourt/CCP moved to InterProse after leaving one legacy platform and then losing another when its vendor retired the product, and Rick calls ACE the agency's "ultimate system of record." For the acquisition, the work was converting the new accounts and putting their reporting on automation, and Rick found the conversion "way easier than I expected."

Once the new accounts were live, the manual work moved into ACE:

  • Scheduled jobs and reports produce placement acknowledgements, payment reporting, close reports and reconciliations on a set cadence.
  • Triggers start workflows automatically when data arrives or conditions are met.
  • SFTP file share moves client files and direct payment files without manual handling.

Reporting isn't the only workload that grows with every client. PayCourt/CCP sends more than 10,000 emails and text messages a day, and each one can bring a reply. RAINMAKER takes the first pass on those replies: it reads them, filters them, takes action and can respond. Agents can still choose from hundreds of templates or write their own messages.

"AI isn't replacing our agents. It's an assistant sitting next to every one of them."

— Rick Bonitzer, President and CEO, PayCourt/CCP

What results did PayCourt/CCP see?

Thirty days after the conversion, the same manager spent about 20% of her day on the reporting she used to do by hand. ACE scheduled jobs, reports, Action Paths and SFTP had taken over the rest.

"ACE's automation took her from 80% of her day on reporting down to 20%."

— Rick Bonitzer, President and CEO, PayCourt/CCP

  • 30% increase in revenue per employee from 2023 to 2025, as PayCourt/CCP grew its client base on ACE.
  • 49% of agency revenue came through self-service in March 2026, and 52% of all agency revenue was house revenue, with no commission paid.
  • Agents stay on live conversations. Each agent averages 36 phone right-party contacts per agent per day while RAINMAKER handles first responses.
  • New capabilities in testing. PayCourt/CCP is piloting RAINMAKER Scans PDF, which reads scanned placement documents and saves several hours per batch.

"We're growing top-line revenue and our client base without growing headcount. With InterProse ACE as our system of record, our revenue per employee keeps climbing."

— Rick Bonitzer, President and CEO, PayCourt/CCP
